Choose this endpoint when you need cryptographic proof (Ed25519 signature) that a real, live public URL actually works as claimed — not just offline content validation. It is ideal for escrow release workflows where you must prove a site, API, or published artifact is reachable and returns the correct content before funds are disbursed. Prefer it over the basic verdict endpoint when live network probes of up to three URLs are required, and over the double-check endpoint when a single synchronous probe round is sufficient and you don't need the higher-assurance double-run guarantee.
Side effects
- Target URL is unreachable or returns an unexpected HTTP status, causing probe checks to fail
- JSON path or CSS selector does not match the actual response, resulting in a fail verdict
- Network timeout during live probe causes check failure
- Invalid or malformed URL in the probe spec returns a validation error
