How this service works
Scan a domain for its ROLE-BASED email addresses via Icypeas (contact@, support@, admin@, …) — generic inboxes, not people. Pass `domainOrCompany`. Returns `{ item: { _id } }` immediately — the search runs async. KEEP POLLING icypeas/result with that `id` (every 3-5s; Icypeas caps reads at 30/min) until `status` leaves NONE/SCHEDULED/IN_PROGRESS. Output
Returns immediately with `{ item: { _id } }` containing a job ID. The actual scan runs asynchronously via Icypeas. The agent must poll the icypeas/result endpoint every 3-5 seconds with that ID until status is no longer NONE, SCHEDULED, or IN_PROGRESS. A FOUND/DEBITED status means role-based email addresses were discovered; NOT_FOUND/DEBITED_NOT_FOUND means the scan completed but returned no results.

It complements person-level email finders like Tomba domain-search or Prospeo, which list specific employees. Choose this when you want operational or departmental inboxes for outreach, vendor contact, or security auditing purposes.
Side effects
- Invalid or non-existent domain returns an empty result after processing
- Polling rate limit hit if result endpoint is called more than 30 times per minute
- Job may remain IN_PROGRESS for an extended period for large or slow domains
- Domain with no role-based emails returns NOT_FOUND/DEBITED_NOT_FOUND status
- Network timeout on initial POST before job ID is returned
