For more record types (MX, TXT, NS, CNAME), prefer the multi-type sibling endpoint. For a bundled infra check (DNS + HTTP + TLS in one call), use the bundle endpoint instead.
Side effects
- Invalid or non-existent hostname returns an error or empty record arrays
- Private/internal hostnames are not resolvable (public DNS only)
- Cache may return stale records up to 60 seconds old
- DNS resolution failure for the queried host returns ok: false
- Payment not received or insufficient USDC results in 402 response
