How this service works
Verify up to 50 citations in one call, one flat price. Body: {"citations": ["<string>", ...]} - same shapes and verdicts as the single route. Returns results[] (one per citation), the verified/not_found/suspicious counts, verification_time_ms, hallucination_risk (LOW all verified, MEDIUM 1-2 not found, HIGH 3+). Deterministic, no LLM in the path. suspicious = a name_match mismatch: a DIFFERENT case than the name given. Do not retry a verified=false finding. Only verified results are cached.
Output
Returns an array of per-citation results (one per input), each with a verified status and case details. Also returns aggregate counts of verified, not_found, and suspicious citations; a hallucination_risk level (LOW if all verified, MEDIUM if 1-2 not found, HIGH if 3+ not found or suspicious); and verification_time_ms. Only verified results are cached; suspicious means a different case was matched on name.

It is ideal for auditing AI-generated legal documents, legal briefs, or research memos for hallucinated or incorrect case references. Prefer this over the single-citation route whenever you have 2 or more citations to check. Because it is fully deterministic with no LLM in the path, it is appropriate for compliance-sensitive workflows requiring consistent, reproducible results.
Side effects
- Exceeding 50 citations per call returns a validation error — split into multiple requests
- Citations that are malformed or missing key components may return not_found rather than an error
- Suspicious results indicate a name-match to a DIFFERENT case — should not be retried as the finding is deterministic
- Network or payment failures (x402) may cause the whole batch to fail with no partial results
- Empty citations array or missing required field returns a schema validation error
