Choose this endpoint when an AI agent needs a fail-closed, per-call PII and secret scan with a cryptographically signed receipt for auditability, especially before sending data to external APIs, public logs, or third-party storage. Prefer it over regex-based or client-side filters when compliance, destination-aware calibration, or tamper-evident receipts are required.
Side effects
- Payload exceeds 2000 character limit — returns validation error
- Required fields (type, method, bodyType, body, payload) missing — returns 422 unprocessable entity
- Ambiguous or encoded content routed to 'review' verdict rather than a definitive classification
- Payment not included or insufficient — returns 402 Payment Required
- Signing not configured — receipt field returns null
