Side effects
- URL is unreachable or returns a non-200 HTTP status — ok: false with no content
- Payment settlement fails or USDC balance insufficient — request blocked before execution
- URL points to binary or non-text content — content may be empty or garbled
- max_chars set too low — content truncated aggressively, may lose meaningful data
- Rate limiting or bot protection on target site blocks the fetch
