Web Access Gateway – Search & Read

Choose this endpoint when you need both web search ranking AND the actual page content in one call — ideal when you need to read, summarize, quote, or verify what the top results actually say, not just their URLs. It is distinct from snippet-only search endpoints because it returns clean full page content with content hashes. Prefer it over the sibling 'compact excerpts' endpoint when you need complete page text rather than brief extracts, and over the 'single URL reader' sibling when you need to discover and read multiple sources at once rather than reading one known URL.

• Query string empty or exceeds 500 characters — validation error returned
• No results found for highly obscure or malformed queries
• Page content unavailable for paywalled or bot-blocked sites — partial or empty content returned
• Payment of $0.025 USDC not completed — 402 payment required error
• Network timeout fetching content from slow or unresponsive pages
• Rate limiting if too many requests are made in quick succession
