Use this endpoint when an AI agent needs to programmatically purchase in-game resources (Fish, Rum, Gems, etc.) within the x402.Boats multiplayer trading game, paying per call in USDC via the x402 protocol. Prefer this over manual gameplay when running an autonomous trading strategy or when orchestrating agent-driven trade routes between islands.
Side effects
- Insufficient USDC balance — payment fails if the agent wallet cannot cover the $0.10 per call fee plus resource cost
- Invalid resource name — if the resource string doesn't match a known tradeable good (e.g. typo in 'Rum'), the operation returns success: false
- Missing wallet address — if neither the wallet_address field nor the x-wallet header is provided, the request is rejected
- Quantity out of range — buying 0 or a negative amount may return an error
- Server-side game state error — if the island has insufficient stock of the resource, purchase may fail
