How this service works
Call before trusting or paying a third-party x402 seller: snapshot one listing from a fixed public directory (payapi, cdp, payai, bazaar) by its id/payTo, or pass ?since= to get told whether it changed since you last saw it. Reads public directories only - never a caller-supplied URL - and returns already-public fields (JSON).
Output
Returns a JSON snapshot of the requested listing from the specified public directory, including already-public fields such as the listing ID, payTo address, and metadata. If a ?since= timestamp is provided, the response also indicates whether the listing has changed since that point in time.

Use this endpoint when an AI agent needs to verify or monitor a specific x402 seller or listing in a known public directory (payapi, cdp, payai, bazaar) before routing a payment or establishing trust. Prefer this over generic web fetches because it reads only fixed, trusted public directories rather than arbitrary caller-supplied URLs, reducing SSRF and spoofing risk. Especially useful for change-detection workflows where you want to know if a listing has been modified since a prior check.
Side effects
- Unknown directory name returns 404 or error
- Invalid or non-existent listing ID returns empty or 404
- Malformed since= timestamp causes parameter error
- Directory temporarily unavailable returns 5xx
- Rate limiting or payment failure returns 402
