How this service works
Use before sending funds to check that a recipient isn't sanctioned. Screens up to 50 crypto addresses (ETH/EVM, BTC, TRX, USDT, SOL and more) against the addresses on the US Treasury OFAC SDN list, refreshed daily, returning the sanctioned entity, programs and listing date. Exact-address match only: not a full compliance screen.
Output
Returns a JSON object per queried address indicating whether it matched the OFAC SDN list; for matches, includes the sanctioned entity's name, the OFAC programs it is listed under, and the listing date. Non-matching addresses are returned with a clean status.

Prefer it over full compliance platforms when exact-address screening is sufficient and you don't need transaction graph analysis, entity-level risk scoring, or multi-jurisdictional sanctions lists. Ideal for agentic payment workflows where a lightweight, per-call check is needed before executing a transfer.
Side effects
- More than 50 addresses supplied in a single request — request rejected
- Invalid address format not recognized — may return no match rather than an error
- Address not found on SDN list even if entity is sanctioned under a different address variant (exact-match only, no fuzzy or cluster matching)
- OFAC list data may be up to 24 hours stale if accessed shortly before daily refresh
- Network or upstream Railway deployment downtime causing 5xx errors
