Returns a JSON object with 'ok' (boolean), 'result' (integer — the transaction count/nonce), 'chain' (network identifier), 'method' (eth_getTransactionCount), and 'service' (Xerxes). On failure, 'ok' is false and 'error' contains a description. The 'hex' field may also be present with the hex-encoded count.

Use this endpoint when you need the Ethereum mainnet account nonce for a specific address — either to construct the next outbound transaction, audit account activity, or diagnose stuck/pending transactions. Prefer this over generic Ethereum RPC gateways when you want a simple REST GET interface with per-call x402 micropayment billing and no API key management. If you need the nonce on Base rather than Ethereum mainnet, use the sibling Base wallet snapshot endpoint instead.
