Side effects
- Unknown or invalid market pair returns a 400 error or empty route
- Amount too large to fill within slippage tolerance results in a rejection or partial-fill warning
- Invalid 'side' value (not 'buy' or 'sell') causes a validation error
- Max slippage above 500 bps is rejected by the API
- Payment failure (insufficient XRP for per-call fee) returns a 402 response
- Market with no liquidity returns no viable route
