Side effects
- Invalid chain_id value returns an error or empty data array
- Unsupported direction enum value may result in a 400 bad request
- No tokens found for an obscure or unsupported chain returns an empty data array
- Rate limiting or payment failure (x402) blocks the response
- Missing or malformed query parameters may default to Ethereum silently
