Use this endpoint when you need a pure instrumental background music track (no vocals) generated from a natural language description, especially for background audio in videos, podcasts, apps, or presentations. Prefer this over the vocal/song endpoint when you explicitly do not want lyrics or singing.
Side effects
- Prompt includes artist names, song titles, or copyrighted lyrics — rejected by ElevenLabs
- music_length_ms out of range (below 3000 or above 90000 ms) — validation error
- Prompt is empty or exceeds 4100 characters — request rejected
