How this service works
Bytemine is a B2B data platform for sales and go to market teams. It covers contact and company search across 135M professionals and 10M companies, contact and company enrichment, LinkedIn profile search and enrichment, live company intelligence read from a company's own web presence, technographics, buying intent scoring, and hiring, funding, job posting, and job change signals. Search results bill per record returned, enrichment bills only on a successful match, and count queries are free. This server is a pay-per-use, transparent proxy in front of Bytemine's own API: it handles identity, payment, and proxying. Agents can purchase autonomously or with their human's approval. This document is the source of truth for agents: it lists the complete verified paid surface with each operation's live price in its x-payment-info. Endpoints not listed here are not part of the supported catalog. The live catalog at /manifest.json is authoritative for prices and any free included units (prices[].includedUnits) - some meters include free usage per account before any charge, reserved for agents claimed by a human with a verified email.
Output
Returns immediately with a job_id and status (pending/processing/completed/failed). When the job completes, the results array contains matching companies each with name, website, industry, company_id, employee_count, and a match_score (0–1) indicating fit against the provided ICP description. Results are delivered to the webhook_url if provided, or retrievable by polling the async job status endpoint.

Choose this endpoint when you need to discover a fresh list of target companies from a written description of your ideal buyer, rather than searching by explicit filters. It is especially suited for early-stage GTM planning, account-based marketing list building, or when your ICP is best expressed in natural language rather than structured attributes. Prefer it over the lookalike endpoint when you don't already have example companies and want the AI to interpret the profile from scratch. Use the async job architecture for large batches (up to 200 results).
Side effects
- Empty or vague description yields low-quality or zero matches
- Requested count exceeds maximum of 200, causing a validation error
- Webhook URL is unreachable, causing silent delivery failure — caller must poll instead
- Job may remain in processing state if upstream data pipeline is slow or overloaded
- Invalid webhook_url format causes immediate rejection
- Flat-rate charge applies even if no matching companies are found
