How this service works
Create a new booking.
Output
Returns a booking record containing a unique booking_id, the requested and scheduled start/end times, current status (one of: requested, processing, confirmed, cancelled, failed), time zone, service key, and creation/update timestamps. The status should be polled via /demo/bookings/{booking_id} as it may start as 'requested' or 'processing' before being confirmed.

Use this endpoint when you have already retrieved available time slots from /demo/availability and have the user's confirmed choice of start time, along with their work email, name, and company. This is the right endpoint when the goal is to create a new demo booking — not to check availability, cancel, or look up an existing booking.
Side effects
- Missing required fields (email, firstName, lastName, company, start) returns a 400 validation error
- Invalid email format causes rejection
- Chosen start time is not an available slot (should fetch /demo/availability first)
- Start time is in the past or outside bookable window
- Payment failure or quota exceeded returns a 402 or similar payment error
- Booking enters 'failed' status if the downstream scheduling system cannot confirm
