Side effects
- Unsupported currency code returns an error — only the 30 ECB-listed currencies are valid
- Date falling on a weekend or ECB holiday has no data — must use an ECB business day
- Missing required 'op' (rates or convert) parameter causes a bad request
- For 'convert' op, missing 'from', 'to', or 'amount' may return incomplete results
- Rate data may be up to 1 hour stale due to server-side cache
- Non-business-day dates may return the most recent prior business day's rates or an error
