Prefer this over the fuzzy-search sibling endpoint when the exact code is already known, and over the nearest-airports sibling when you have a code rather than coordinates.
Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized IATA/ICAO code returns an error or empty result
- Providing both IATA and ICAO simultaneously may be rejected (only one allowed)
- Malformed code (wrong length or format) returns a validation error
- Payment failure (x402) blocks the request from being processed
