Side effects
- Invalid tx_hash format (not a 0x-prefixed 66-character hex string) returns a validation error
- Transaction not yet indexed or not found on Base returns status 'not found'
- Pending transactions may show no block or confirmations yet
- Network issues or RPC outages may cause temporary unavailability
- Payment of $0.0035 USDC required per call; missing or invalid x402 payment header returns 402
