Attention index for any word/entity fusing Wikipedia readership (Wikimedia pageviews, resolved word->article and disambiguated by real traffic) with the global news stream (GDELT coverage volume). Returns a 0-100 index, WoW/MoM deltas, datestamped spikes and a trend in one call. An attention/curiosity index over Wikipedia and world news — not Google Trends / Google search interest.

A JSON object containing a normalized 0-100 attention index for the queried keyword, derived from fused Wikipedia pageview data and GDELT news coverage. Also includes week-over-week (WoW) and month-over-month (MoM) percentage deltas, a list of datestamped spike events, and an overall trend direction — all in a single API response.

It is ideal for tracking public curiosity spikes around entities like companies, people, products, or topics, especially when you need WoW/MoM deltas and timestamped spike detection in one call rather than assembling raw signals yourself.
Side effects
- Keyword cannot be resolved to a Wikipedia article — returns error or zero score for obscure/misspelled terms
- Ambiguous keyword maps to wrong article — use explicit 'article' parameter to override resolution
- Lookback window outside 14-365 day range returns validation error
- Unsupported language project code returns schema validation error
- Very new entities with minimal Wikipedia/GDELT history may return low-confidence or zero scores
- Rate limiting or payment failure (x402) if USDC balance is insufficient
