One pageviews call (+ resolution). A curiosity/readership index — not Google Trends.

Side effects
- Ambiguous keyword that cannot be resolved to a Wikipedia article returns an error or wrong article
- Keyword with no English Wikipedia article (project mismatch) returns not-found
- Lookback window outside 14-365 day range rejected with validation error
- Very low-traffic topics may produce a near-zero index with no meaningful delta
- Rate limiting or Wikimedia API downtime causes timeout or 5xx error
