Choose this endpoint when you need a cryptographically attested, auditable answer about whether a NOAA/NWS weather alert is currently active — not just a raw data fetch. It is particularly valuable in agentic workflows, compliance contexts, or automated decision pipelines where a verifiable receipt (aye/nay with hash-attested evidence) is required rather than a simple boolean or raw alert list. Currently covers ORL and LAX stations only.
