Side effects
- Invalid or malformed transaction hash (not 66 chars or missing 0x prefix) returns an error
- Transaction hash not found on Base — may be on a different chain or not yet indexed
- Transaction still pending — may return zero confirmations or pending status
- Network timeout if Base RPC is slow or unavailable
- Hash from a different EVM chain (e.g. Ethereum mainnet) will not resolve correctly
