Choose this endpoint when you need automated, per-page broken link detection with HTTP status reporting, anchor text context, and the ability to distinguish internal from external links — especially when you want to schedule recurring checks or receive webhook alerts for newly broken links. It handles up to 3 URLs per call and is keyless, making it easy to integrate without credential management.
Side effects
- URL is unreachable or returns an error before any links can be extracted
- Page has no extractable links (empty or JavaScript-rendered only)
- maxLinks cap reached before all links are tested, producing partial results
- External link checks blocked by bot-protection on target domains
- Rate limiting or timeout on very large pages with many links
