Choose this endpoint when you need lightweight, no-crawler content QA — specifically to identify broken outbound or internal links on a single page without running a full site crawl. It's ideal for pre-publish checks, periodic health monitoring of key pages, or validating partner/resource pages. Prefer alternatives if you need full-site recursive crawling or deep content analysis beyond link status.
Side effects
- Target page is unreachable or returns non-200, so no links can be extracted
- Page has no extractable links (e.g. JavaScript-rendered SPA without SSR)
- All 30 HEAD requests time out due to slow or blocked servers
- Some links block HEAD requests, causing false positives
- Rate limiting or firewall blocks the checker's requests to target domains
