It is ideal for fact-checking, recent news research, domain-scoped lookups (e.g. only government or news sites), and any 'what happened with X' question where you need verbatim source quotes as evidence. Prefer it over a raw SERP API when the agent needs to present conclusions, not raw URLs. Prefer it over an LLM with a knowledge cutoff when recency matters or you need traceable citations.
Side effects
- Question is fewer than 3 or more than 500 characters — request rejected
- No live web sources found matching the query and filters — empty or low-confidence answer
- Domain filter too restrictive with no matching indexed content — sparse result
- Since date filters out all relevant sources — answer may be empty or stale
- Service temporarily unavailable or upstream search provider error — HTTP 5xx
- Payment not completed or insufficient funds — x402 payment required error
