Get market data (price, market cap, volume, sparkline) for coins with pagination.

Output

Returns an array of coin market objects, each containing: coin ID, symbol, name, image URL, current price, market cap, market cap rank, fully diluted valuation, total volume, 24h high/low, price changes (absolute and percentage) over requested intervals, circulating/total/max supply, all-time high and low with dates and percentage changes, last updated timestamp, and optionally 7-day sparkline price arrays. Results are paginated.

When to prefer

Use this endpoint when you need bulk paginated market data for many coins at once, including rankings, volume, supply, and price change statistics. Prefer over Simple Price when you need market cap ranks, volume, supply info, ATH/ATL, or sparkline data. Prefer over Coin Data when you need a list of coins rather than deep detail on a single coin. Best for building leaderboards, market overviews, portfolio snapshots, or screeners.

Side effects

Missing required vs_currency field returns a 400/validation error
Invalid coin ID in ids filter silently omits unrecognized coins or returns empty array
Invalid sort order string may return default ordering without error
Requesting more than 250 per_page may be capped or return an error
Rate limiting or upstream CoinGecko unavailability returns 429 or 503
Invalid category string may return empty results without clear error message
