Output
A raw JSON object mapping each requested CoinGecko ID to its current USD price and 24-hour percentage change. If an ID is unrecognized or invalid (e.g. a ticker like 'btc' instead of 'bitcoin'), that entry returns found:false instead of price data.

Choose this endpoint when you need fast, cheap, raw cryptocurrency price lookups (USD price and 24h change) for known CoinGecko IDs, especially inside automated agent pipelines where you want structured JSON without AI-generated text wrapping the data. Ideal for batch lookups of 1–10 tokens at half a cent per call. Prefer alternatives if you need historical price data, order book depth, trading volume, or tokens not listed on CoinGecko/DefiLlama.
Side effects
- Ticker symbols (btc, eth, sol) instead of CoinGecko IDs return found:false — always use full CoinGecko IDs like bitcoin, ethereum, solana
- More than 10 IDs in a single request may be rejected or partially processed
- Unknown or misspelled CoinGecko IDs silently return found:false rather than an error
- Temporary DefiLlama API outages may cause stale or missing price data
- Comma-separated input must be plain text with no spaces or extra formatting
