It covers the 10 most important stablecoins by default, saving the step of specifying each one. Prefer this over general crypto price APIs when the use case is specifically peg verification and depeg risk detection.
Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized CoinGecko IDs return an error or missing entries
- Requesting more than 10 coins at once may be rejected or truncated
- DefiLlama data source outage may cause stale or unavailable prices
- Malformed input (e.g. ticker symbols instead of CoinGecko IDs) returns no results
- Payment failure (x402) blocks the request entirely
