Output
A ranked list of up to 20 DeFi pools including pool name, token price, total liquidity in USD, 24h trading volume, buy and sell transaction counts, and on-chain safety flags (honeypot status, balance-modifiable warnings). Results are ordered by relevance (trending rank or recency for new mode) and pre-filtered to meet the specified liquidity and volume thresholds.

Choose this endpoint when you need to discover and rank DeFi trading opportunities across trending or newly-launched pools on a specific chain, especially when on-chain safety screening is important. It is distinct from general price lookups (which cover individual tokens) and yield/APY finders (which focus on farming returns). Best used when the goal is opportunistic pool discovery with liquidity and volume quality filters, particularly for Base chain where the safety screening feature is fully supported.
Side effects
- Invalid network ID returns an error or empty result set
- min_liquidity or min_volume set too high may return zero results
- safe_only=true only applies safety screening to Base network tokens; other chains may not be screened
- limit exceeding 20 is clamped or returns an error
- GeckoTerminal data unavailability causes stale or missing pool data
- Honeypot detection may produce false positives, filtering out legitimate new tokens
