Side effects
- Invalid or misspelled CoinGecko coin ID returns empty result or error
- Unsupported quote currency returns an error or empty price field
- Comma-separated IDs with spaces may fail — IDs must be exact CoinGecko slugs
- Rate limiting or upstream CoinGecko outage may cause 5xx errors
- Missing required 'ids' parameter returns a 400 bad request
