Side effects
- Unknown protocol name returns an error or empty result — use DefiLlama slug format (e.g. 'aave-v3' not 'AAVE')
- Days parameter outside 7–1825 range may be rejected or clamped
- Protocol with very short history may return fewer data points than requested
- DefiLlama upstream outage causes stale or missing data
- Some chains may return null TVL if the protocol is not deployed there
