How this service works
Deribit BTC or ETH options for one expiry (default: nearest unexpired): at-the-money implied volatility (mark IV), and an IV skew at ±10% moneyness (put at 0.9x spot minus call at 1.1x spot, in IV points). This is a moneyness skew, not a 25-delta skew: Deribit's summary has no delta, so per-strike delta calls are not made.
Output
Returns a JSON object with the expiry label and date, currency, source URL, ATM implied volatility percentage, put wing (IV% and strike), call wing (IV% and strike), skew in IV points (put wing IV minus call wing IV), current underlying spot price, number of instruments in that expiry, and a timestamp of when the data was fetched.
