Replace all nameservers for the domain.
Output
Returns the updated domain record including domain name, lock status, autorenew setting, expiry date, creation date, WHOIS contacts (registrant, admin, tech, billing), and any active locks after the nameserver change is applied.

Use this endpoint when you need to fully replace the nameserver delegation for a domain registered via MPP/RapidRuntime — for example, switching DNS hosting to Cloudflare, AWS Route 53, or a custom DNS provider. This is a full replacement operation (not additive), so all desired nameservers must be submitted together. Choose this over DNS record endpoints when the goal is to change the authoritative DNS delegation at the registrar level rather than managing individual DNS records within a zone.
Side effects
- Domain not found — invalid or unowned domain in path returns 404
- Invalid nameserver hostname format causes validation error
- Empty nameservers array rejected (minItems:1 required)
- Domain is locked and cannot be modified — returns error indicating transfer/update lock
- Authentication failure if MPP identity credentials are missing or invalid
- Nameserver hostname unreachable or unresolvable may cause propagation issues without explicit API error
