How this service works
Forward + reverse ENS resolution on Ethereum mainnet: turn vitalik.eth into an address, or an address into its primary ENS name. Complements the Basename resolver for Base.
Output
Returns the resolved Ethereum address for a given ENS name (forward resolution), or the primary ENS name associated with a given Ethereum address (reverse resolution). Includes the query input, resolution type, and the resolved value.

Use this endpoint when you need ENS resolution on Ethereum mainnet — both forward (name→address) and reverse (address→name) in a single endpoint. Prefer this over building your own ENS resolution when you need a quick, pay-per-call lookup without managing your own Ethereum RPC node. Complement with the Basename resolver (also on 402.com.tr) when Base L2 name resolution is needed instead.
Side effects
- ENS name not registered — returns null or empty address
- Address has no primary ENS name set — returns empty or null name
- Invalid ENS name format — returns error
- Invalid Ethereum address format — returns validation error
- ENS resolution temporarily unavailable due to RPC issues — returns 5xx error
