Credentials search: find doctors by board certification, medical school, residency or fellowship program, hospital affiliation, publications (topic, journal, years), awards, academic title and institution, or years of experience. Results show the matching training, boards and papers with source grades. Only what the practice or the publisher lists, so many doctors list none. Needs a location or state, or an NPI.

Output

A paginated JSON list of matching doctors, each with name, location, specialty, credential class, and a background object containing training (medical school, residency, fellowship, internship), board certifications, hospital affiliations, publications (with paper count and weak matches), academic roles, and recognition/awards. Each credential item includes source URL, evidence grade (A–C), and as-of date. Also returns a query echo and total count.

Prefer this over a general doctor-search endpoint when the credential filter (school, board, journal, award, academic title) is the primary search criterion. Best for due-diligence scenarios, credential verification, or finding specialists with specific training pedigrees. Not suitable if you only need pricing, insurance status, or language preferences — sibling endpoints handle those.

Side effects
