How this service works
FOMO's token search across the chains it trades: matches name, symbol or address and returns each token's address, network id, metadata and market data. Use to resolve a name or ticker to a chain and address for the /v1/token routes.
Output
Returns an array of matching token objects, each containing the token's contract address, network ID, name, symbol, decimals, image URLs, social links, launchpad graduation info, circulating supply, total supply, and associated market data such as price, market cap, and 24h volume. Also includes response metadata.

Use this endpoint when you need to resolve a token name, ticker, or address into a canonical chain+address pair before calling other FOMO token routes (e.g. /v1/token). It is the correct entry point whenever the user provides a symbol or partial name rather than a full contract address, or when you need to discover which network a token is deployed on.
Side effects
- Empty result array when no tokens match the query string
- Stale cached data returned if maxAge or stale parameters are used
- Truncated results if limit is set too low and many tokens share a name
- No results for very new or obscure tokens not yet indexed by FOMO
- Rate limit or payment errors if x402 payment is not properly handled
