Do not use it when you need verified landed costs (including shipping and taxes), need to search for variants by keyword, or need basket/split-order optimization — sibling endpoints handle those scenarios.
Side effects
- Invalid variant ID format (must match gid://shopify/ProductVariant/{digits}) returns a validation error
- Fewer than 2 or more than 10 variant IDs causes a schema rejection
- Unsupported or unrecognized country/currency codes may return no results or an error
- Variants with no active offers may return empty offer lists
- Network or upstream Shopify catalog availability issues may cause stale or missing data
