Returns a JSON object containing a unique publisher_id, a one-time publisher_key (shown only once — must be stored securely), a wallet address associated with the publisher account, and the current terms_version accepted at registration.

Use this endpoint when you need to register a new x402 service on the ForgeMesh publisher network for the first time. This is the entry point for any publisher wanting to access ForgeMesh's agent intent analytics, event reporting, and demand signal data. It is not suitable for retrieving existing credentials (those are shown only once at registration) or for querying analytics without already being registered.
Side effects
- Service already registered — duplicate registration may return an error or new conflicting credentials
- Network or registry unavailability causing a 5xx response
- Payment failure — the $0.1 USDC x402 payment not processed, blocking the registration
- Invalid or missing required headers/query parameters resulting in a 4xx error
- Key not stored before response is lost — publisher_key is shown only once and cannot be recovered
