How this service works
Generate a barcode or QR code as SVG or PNG: QR, DataMatrix, PDF417, Code 128, Code 39, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, ISBN-13, ITF and GS1-128. EAN/UPC/ISBN check digits are computed (or verified, never silently replaced). QR and DataMatrix support colours, square/rounded/dot styles and (QR) a centre logo from an https URL. Every format is verified scannable. Returns SVG text or base64 PNG plus a data URI ready to embed in HTML, PDF or labels.
Output
Returns a JSON object containing the rendered barcode as SVG text or a base64-encoded PNG string, plus a data URI (data:image/svg+xml or data:image/png) that can be embedded directly in HTML, PDF, or label templates. EAN/UPC/ISBN check digits are computed or verified. Scannability of every output is confirmed before response.

Especially prefer it over client-side libraries when you need check-digit verification for EAN/UPC/ISBN, branded QR codes with centre logos, custom colours and module styles (square/rounded/dots), or clean SVG output for high-quality print labels and PDFs. Side effects
- Invalid or un-encodable text for the chosen symbology (e.g. non-numeric data for EAN-13) returns a 400 error
- Logo URL unreachable or exceeds 200 KB returns an error for QR logo requests
- logo_url using HTTP (non-HTTPS) is rejected
- Scale out of range (below 1 or above 20) returns validation error
- Invalid hex colour format returns a 400 validation error
- text field empty or exceeding 2000 characters returns a 400 error
