How this service works

Returns the renewed watcher object including: unchanged watcher ID, status (active/stopped/expired), target URL and render mode, updated expires_at timestamp, refreshed checks_remaining count, next_check_at and first_check_at timestamps, baseline hash and summary (e.g. 'live 2xx (200); apply form present'), condition detector type, interval in seconds, price paid in USD, and a payment receipt with hash and verify URL.

Use this endpoint when you already have an active or recently-expired Livecheck watcher and want to extend its monitoring lifetime without creating a new watcher. Prefer this over creating a new watcher when the baseline snapshot and watcher ID need to remain consistent. This is the right call when checks_remaining is running low or expires_at is approaching.
Side effects
- Invalid or unknown watcher ID returns an error — watcher IDs must start with wtc_ and be valid ULIDs
- Watcher in a terminal state (permanently stopped) may not be renewable
- Payment failure via x402 protocol causes the renewal to not go through
- Malformed request body (missing required id field) returns a 400-level error
- Expired payment or insufficient balance results in renewal failure
