It is ideal when you want both a human-readable SVG badge and machine-readable metrics (hit rate, return %) in one call, and when you need trustless verification locked to the Base network rather than a self-reported backtest. Use it over generic market-data endpoints when the goal is strategy-level historical performance rather than raw price or order-book data.
Side effects
- Missing or invalid strategy ID returns an error — the 'id' query parameter is required
- Unrecognized time window value (not one of 7d, 30d, 3m, 1y, all) may return an error or default to 30d
- Payment failure (insufficient USDC or x402 protocol error) blocks the response
- Strategy ID that does not exist in the 2,000+ strategy catalog returns a not-found error
- Network latency or Base network congestion may delay or fail on-chain verification steps
