Use this endpoint when you have already obtained a valid quoteId from a NIGHTSHIFT free quote endpoint and are ready to commit payment (3 USDC via x402) to execute the swarm agent job. This is the execution step in a two-step quote-then-order flow. Prefer this over generic compute endpoints when you specifically want to run tasks within the NIGHTSHIFT/IMD AI agent swarm ecosystem.
Side effects
- Invalid or expired quoteId returns an error — quotes may have a TTL and must be used before expiry
- Payment failure or insufficient USDC balance causes the order not to start
- Malformed UUID in quoteId field results in a validation error
- Network congestion on Base (eip155:8453) may delay payment confirmation
- Attempting to call without a valid x402 payment header results in a 402 Payment Required response
