How this service works
Open interest (OI) of one coin's perpetual futures by exchange: Bybit, Hyperliquid, dYdX, Gate, Kraken, Bitfinex, Deribit, OKX. Per venue OI in coins and USD and its share, the total, and the OI change over 1h, 4h and 24h from the venues' own history. Perp open interest and futures open interest for BTC, ETH, SOL and more. Data only. Bad input is free; under 3 venues not charged.
Output
Returns a JSON object containing: total OI in USD and coins across all venues, a per-venue breakdown with USD OI, coin OI, symbols traded, and market share percentage, plus a change array showing 1h/4h/24h percent changes per venue. Also includes metadata like staleness flags, data timestamp, and a see_also hint linking to liquidations if OI is falling.

Use this endpoint when you need a cross-exchange view of perpetual futures open interest for a specific coin, including market share and momentum (1h/4h/24h changes). Prefer this over single-exchange APIs when comparing how OI is distributed across Bybit, Hyperliquid, dYdX, Gate, Kraken, Bitfinex, Deribit, and OKX simultaneously. Requires no API key — pay per call with USDC on Base via x402.
Side effects
- Missing or invalid coin symbol returns an error — coin must be a non-empty string up to 32 characters
- Unknown coin symbols not traded as perps on supported exchanges may return empty venue lists
- Payment failure via x402/USDC on Base will block the request
- Stale data from an exchange is flagged in the venues array but still returned
- venues_missing array lists any exchanges that failed to return data for that call
