Use this endpoint when you already hold a read credential for a PowaHub/CertainData identity verification session and need to maintain continuous access — particularly for long-running polling loops or compliance workflows where the data has not yet been deleted. Do not use it to initiate a new verification (use the capture-link issuance endpoint instead) or to perform the initial credential acquisition.
Side effects
- Credential too old or already rotated — returns 401/403 if the submitted credential is outside the acceptable renewal window
- Invalid verification_id — returns 404 if the verification session does not exist or has been deleted
- Verification data deleted — returns 410 or equivalent if the evidence pack has already been purged
- Payment failure — x402 payment not resolved, returns 402
- Missing credential in request body — returns 400 validation error
