Exact-reference results return every active directly linked market with quote provenance, Q's latest probability and paired thesis, and publication availability. Text results summarize those markets. Probabilities and theses remain tied to their exact questions.

Returns a list of matched asset records, each containing the asset's canonical identity (name, UUID, type, tickers, platform IDs), every active directly linked prediction market with venue odds and Quotient's calibrated probability, a paired thesis summary when available, and publication availability flags.

Use this endpoint when you need to resolve a named entity (company, crypto, commodity) to its Quotient asset profile and discover all linked prediction markets in one call. Prefer this over the markets search endpoint when you are starting from an asset name or identifier rather than a market question. Use q=* with material_only=true for a broad enriched digest of all tracked material assets without specifying a target.
Side effects
- No assets found for an obscure or misspelled name — returns empty results
- Ambiguous query (e.g. common word) returns too many loosely matched assets
- Platform identifier not recognized if wrong platform string is provided
- material_only=true with a narrow q may return no results if no material assets match
- Service cold-start latency on Render free tier may cause timeouts on first call
- Rate limiting or payment failure (x402) if USDC payment is not properly attached
