How this service works
Use this to search Quotient-covered markets by meaning, taxonomy, asset, venue, or historical cutoff. Results carry quote provenance plus Q and venue odds captured at the selected forecast. Polymarket International and Kalshi use verified live pricing or null; other venues label graph snapshots stale. Use as_of for discovery and the forecast-time pair for historical spreads, including since-closed markets.

It excels at semantic discovery across multiple venues simultaneously, making it superior to keyword search when the topic is broad (e.g. 'rate cuts') or when you want to compare related markets grouped by event. Prefer this over direct market browsing endpoints when the user's intent is exploratory research rather than fetching a specific known market.
Side effects
- No markets found for highly niche or misspelled queries — returns empty results
- Invalid venue enum value returns a validation error
- Query string too vague may return loosely related markets with low relevance scores
- Rate limit or payment failure returns 402 or 429 error
- Service on Render free tier may have cold-start latency on first request
