How this service works

Choose this endpoint when you need to read public Reddit posts or thread comments without Reddit API credentials, and you only need textual content (title, author, link, date, text). It is ideal for lightweight social monitoring, sentiment research, or news aggregation from Reddit. Prefer it over direct Reddit API calls when you want a simple pay-per-call model with no OAuth setup. Not suitable when you need upvote scores, comment counts, or private subreddit access.
Side effects
- Reddit rate-limits the RSS feed (503 error) — retry after a short delay
- Invalid or private subreddit name returns no results or an error
- Post ID not found or deleted returns empty or error response
- Subreddit name fails regex validation (must be 2-21 letters, digits, or underscores)
- No scores or comment counts available — RSS feeds do not expose vote data
- Very new or very low-traffic subreddits may return fewer than expected posts
