How this service works
World Bank funded projects by country from the World Bank Projects API: project name, status, total amount (USD), approval year and project page. Project list only; contract-award notices are not in this source.
Output
A JSON object containing the total number of World Bank projects for the country, the data source URL, the queried country code, a timestamp of when the data was checked, and an array of project objects each with: project ID, project URL, name, status, country name, total USD amount, approval year, and board approval date.
Example use cases
Researching development finance in Nigeria
“List the top 5 World Bank projects currently active in Nigeria, including their total funding amounts and approval years.”
Monitoring World Bank lending in Southeast Asia
“Show me up to 15 World Bank projects in Vietnam — I want to see their names, status, and how much money each one is worth in USD.”
Due diligence on World Bank presence in Egypt
“What World Bank projects exist for Egypt? Give me the full list with project IDs, statuses, total amounts, and links to each project page.”

Endpoint
GEThttps://api.tradeenergy-api.workers.dev/api/energy/world-bank-procurement?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Use this endpoint when you need a quick, structured overview of World Bank funded project portfolios for a specific country — particularly useful for development finance research, market entry analysis, or monitoring multilateral lending activity. It sources directly from the official World Bank Projects API. It does not provide contract-award notices or procurement tender details; for IDB contract awards use the sibling IDB endpoint instead.
Side effects
- Missing or invalid country code returns an error or empty project list
- Rows parameter outside 1–20 range may be rejected or clamped
- World Bank upstream API unavailability causes failed or stale responses
- Country code with no World Bank projects returns an empty array with total of 0
- Rate limiting or payment failure due to x402 protocol issues
