Side effects
- Unsupported pair — Chainlink feed does not exist for the requested pair on the given chain
- Unsupported chain — chain name not in the allowed set (ethereum, arbitrum, base, bsc, polygon, optimism)
- Payment failure — x402 USDC payment not processed, request rejected
- RPC/oracle unavailability — on-chain feed temporarily unreachable
- Malformed pair string — pair not parseable (e.g. missing slash, invalid ticker)
